Fanshawe and its Board of Governors have initiated a process to develop a Strategic Direction that will guide and shape our future over the next 10 years.
The collaborative and inclusive process will gather input from all members of the Fanshawe community. This input will be used to redefine our College’s vision, mission, values, priorities and goals.
CORE PRINCIPLES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF FANSHAWE COLLEGE’S STRATEGIC DIRECTION
The development of the College’s new Strategic Direction will be guided by key principles of inclusion, trust, truth, safety, meaningfulness and integration.
INCLUSION
We want to hear from everyone: students, staff, faculty, alumni and partners. Watch for multiple options for contributing to the process online, inperson, through discussions or surveys, designed in plain language accessible to all.
TRUST, TRUTH and SAFETY
The process will encourage everyone to share their truth in a safe space where all ideas and opinions can be voiced and heard respectfully.
MEANINGFULNESS
We’re committed to keeping everyone in the loop, sharing updates every step of the way. There is a genuine interest in everyone’s input and we want your experience with the process to be meaningful.
INTEGRATION
We know there is always lots going on at Fanshawe and your input is solicited several times in a year. The process will ensure that all previous input will be integrated and the time you invest in shaping Fanshawe’s future will not be a duplication of other efforts.

STRATEGIC DIRECTION
The Strategic Direction initiative is being led by Dr. Dominique Giguère. Dominique was recruited last fall as a Senior Strategy Consultant to work closely with the Board and the Executive Leadership Team to design, coordinate and facilitate all aspects of this process, including the input sessions. Many of you have already had the opportunity to work with her over the years. She and her firm, Currents Group Inc., know us and the post-secondary sector well. They have conducted several organizational development projects throughout Fanshawe since 2013.
